Paper baking mould Panettone 10 pieces
What is panettone?
Panettone is a classic Italian baked speciality originating in Milan. This Italian fruit bread is traditionally baked by master bakers, particularly at Christmas. Its proper preparation is considered an art because the speciality is subject to strict requirements; the name Panettone is also an official trademark registered with the Milan Chamber of Commerce. The cake is made from wheat sourdough and enriched with candied fruit and raisins. Panettone as we know it today originated with the Milanese baker Angelo Motta, who in 1919 developed the sweet bread into today's tall fruit cake with candied fruit.
Bake small or large panettone at home
These 13.4cm diameter panettone cases made from baking paper hold approx. 500g of dough. For mini panettone made with approx. 100g of dough, we recommend the 7x6cm size. For larger versions made with approx. 750g of dough, use our 15x11cm paper baking cases.
