Note on the disposal of used batteries
The following notice is addressed to those who use batteries or products containing built-in batteries and do not resell them in the form in which they were supplied (end users):
1. Free-of-charge take-back of used batteries
Batteries must not be disposed of with household waste. You are legally required to return used batteries to ensure proper disposal.
You can hand in used batteries at a municipal collection point or at local retail outlets.
As a distributor of batteries, we are also required to take back used batteries; however, our take-back obligation is limited to the types of used batteries that we stock (or have previously stocked) as new batteries. You may therefore either send such used batteries back to us with sufficient postage or drop them off free of charge directly at our dispatch warehouse at the following address:

2. Meaning of the battery symbols
Batteries are marked with the symbol of a crossed-out wheeled bin (see below). This symbol indicates that batteries must not be disposed of with household waste.
For batteries containing more than 0.0005% mercury, more than 0.002% cadmium, or more than 0.004% lead by mass, the chemical symbol for the specific hazardous substance appears below the wheeled bin symbol—where "Cd" stands for cadmium, "Pb" for lead, and "Hg" for mercury.
