The 580g set contains 500g flour mix and 80g chocolate topping to add a finishing touch to both the flavour and appearance of your cake.

For baking, we recommend a cake ring with a diameter of 26cm or a springform tin. Once baked, the cake can be decorated with the included chocolate topping. Whether served with afternoon coffee or given as a homemade surprise, this dark cake puts cocoa flavour centre stage.

Preparing the Black Velvet Supreme Cake
You will also need: 100g whole egg (approx. 2 medium-sized eggs), 150g neutral cooking oil (e.g., sunflower oil), 200g water.
Preheat the oven to 175°C (top/bottom heat). Place the baking mix, eggs, oil, and water into a bowl and mix for 3 minutes on low speed using an electric hand mixer with dough hooks or a stand mixer with the flat beater attachment. Note: Do not use a whisk or balloon whisk, as this would incorporate air into the mixture. Pour the batter into a 24 cm baking pan lined with parchment paper and bake in the preheated oven at approx. 175°C (top/bottom heat) for about 40 minutes. Allow to cool afterwards. Spread the topping over the surface before serving.
