The silk bed is a Swiss development by the sugar artistry duo Louise and Othmar Fassbind, who have successfully established sugar artistry. With this product, the sugar artistry pioneers convinced the jury at competitions and were successful against competitors.
This custom-made product consists of a handmade wooden frame and a silk cover. This black silk with a unique lamination has excellent heat conduction properties. In combination with the modified heat lamp and the 250W infrared bulb, it is possible to heat sugar masses quickly and evenly to achieve a soft, smooth consistency for optimal sugar processing. For example, several sugar masses in different colours can be heated simultaneously on this silk bed. The sugar artist thus saves time and can proceed directly with his work of art without having to put up with long waiting times.
In the practical and sturdy aluminium case for the sugar artistry sets, all the tools as well as the colours from the sugar artistry sets fit into the prepared inlay (tools and colours not included).
