Colored Cake Bases for Your Cakes
With this baking mix for colored cake bases, you can easily make a sponge cake base.
By combining several colored cake bases, you can create impressive cakes. Use them for themed cakes such as mermaid cakes, rainbow cakes, princess cakes, and many other creative ideas.
When prepared, this baking mix is ??initially white. The color only develops its intensity when water and eggs are added.
Easy Preparation of the Sponge Cake Base
Besides this baking mix, you only need water and eggs to make this light and airy sponge cake base. The color is already included.

Basic recipe for 1 cake base Ø 26 cm:
100g cake base mix
70g eggs (approx. 1.5 medium)
10g water (total liquid should be 80g, use more or less water if necessary)
Lightly whisk the eggs (stored at room temperature) and water by hand. Place the cake base mix in a mixing bowl, add the egg-water mixture, and whisk everything together quickly with an electric mixer for 7 to 8 minutes until stiff peaks form. Bake at 190 to 200°C (top/bottom heat, not fan-forced) for approximately 10 to 35 minutes. For Viennese sponge cake bases, briefly mix in 40g of melted butter at the end. Turn the cake base out onto a cooling rack lined with a tea towel after baking. Note: Store the baking mix in a dry, cool place, tightly sealed, and away from sunlight. Quality made in Germany - good to know where it comes from.
