Young and old love the pre-Christmas season - especially baking Christmas biscuits. With our baking mix, this is quick and easy. With the baking mix, you also get the star sprinkles and the icing mix. The dough makes 3 trays of delicious Christmas biscuits.
Preparation: Christmas cookies
(Package contents: 450g baking mix, 150g icing mix, 80g star sprinkles)
You will also need: 175g soft butter, 50g whole egg (approx. 1 egg size M), approx. 33-38ml water, some flour for rolling
Place the baking mix, butter and egg in a bowl and mix to a smooth dough using an electric hand mixer or food processor. Wrap the dough in cling film and leave to rest in the fridge for at least 2 hours. After chilling, knead again briefly, roll out thinly on a lightly floured work surface and cut out the desired shapes. Place the biscuits on a baking tray lined with baking paper and bake in a preheated oven at 200°C top/bottom heat for approx. 10 minutes until golden brown. Then leave the biscuits to cool.
Stir the icing mixture with the water until smooth, spread a thin layer on the biscuits and decorate with sugar stars. Leave the icing to set for approx. 1 hour at room temperature.
